Remember the Tesla megayacht that cost $700 million?
It was first teased all the way back in 2017 and has been consistently gaining momentum since then.
However, it is currently 2022, so where is it?
The yacht Model Y will be entirely electric, rendering it silent on the water.
Additionally, it will utilize solar and hydroelectric power.
What else contributes to the yacht’s $700 million price tag?
The 40-meter-long (131-foot-long) Model Y will feature two decks, two cabins, and a jacuzzi.
With the push of a switch, the tables on the lower deck will transform into seats.
There will be a bar and dancing area on the upper deck, which will be covered by an enormous LED-lit roof.
The yacht’s interior will feature a circular bar, a lounge suite, and two bedrooms.
But what truly distinguishes this yacht is its electric propulsion and self-sufficiency.
A solar panel that charges two lithium batteries will be located at the very top of the spacecraft.
It will also have a turbine that converts wave energy into electricity.
In 2017, designer Dhruv Prasad rendered the yacht and promoted it as Tesla’s next great thing.
Elon Musk, however, has reportedly had nothing to do with the initiative and has never publicly supported it.
While there is no official information or release date from Tesla, fans are hopeful that the company will support the initiative and bring it to life.
Musk can undoubtedly make Model Y a reality if he can successfully launch rockets into space and create eerily lifelike humanoid robots.
Although Prasad may have to reconsider the $700 million price tag, Musk may be the only individual who can actually afford it.
