Meyer Yachts, the superyacht division of the commercial shipbuilder Meyer Werft, unveiled their innovative 125-meter concept known as THREE05 at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. This concept seamlessly blends a 125-meter superyacht with a 180-meter floating villa, effectively uniting Meyer Group’s two business divisions: Meyer Yachts and Meyer Floating Solutions.
The unique design allows the villa and yacht to function as a single unit when anchored, offering the capacity to host larger groups. As Thomas Weigend, the managing director of Meyer Werft, explained, “Villa and yacht form a design and functional unit at anchor, and thus the possibility of accommodating larger companies.” Simultaneously, the THREE05 can also serve as a private retreat, complete with its own superyacht shuttle.
The 180-meter villa, aptly named Floating Solutions, provides an impressive 2,100 square meters of living space, featuring a helipad and a marina that can accommodate guests’ tenders and be customized with entertainment solutions according to the owner’s preferences. Accompanying the villa is the 125-meter yacht, boasting a voluminous 7,500GT, capable of hosting up to 30 guests.
What sets this project apart is its commitment to sustainability, as the yacht will be constructed using “low-impact” materials and will employ eco-friendly hybrid technology, including fuel cells and batteries. Solar cells and wind turbines will be integrated into the floating villa to generate clean energy.
Kaj Casén, CEO of Meyer Floating Solutions, summed it up by saying, “The combination of Meyer Yachts and our extensive experience in building floating villas at this scale makes our offering truly unique in the world market. We provide fully customizable solutions for owners looking for a perfect and one-of-a-kind home on the water.”
