In DJ Khaled’s universe of excess, there’s no such thing as too much. Recently, the music producer spent the day in a $34.5 million mansion on man-made Hibiscus Island, basking in the balmy Miami sun from the comforts of a five-bedroom mansion. The 11,000-square-foot ONE Sotheby’s megamansion is designed for entertaining, with a stunning array of amenities, including a home theatre with cushy couches and lounge chairs, a glistening infinity pool with views of the ocean and the city beyond, a wooden dock large enough for a yacht (or a fleet of Jet Skis), and an outdoor lounge area with spacious couches and beautiful views of Miami Beach.
Among the palm trees on the property is an elevated outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbecue and bar, emphasising the home’s indoor-outdoor space. Indoors, the home is equally as remarkable, with a second kitchen located more centrally and featuring a contemporary colour scheme of sleet grey and bright orange. An airy living room is centred on an ultraluxurious glass coffee table, with an entire wall of glass sliders providing access to the pool and terrace in the backyard. Each bedroom has its own floor-to-ceiling glass slider that leads out to a private balcony; the master suite has a sitting area, lounge chairs and an en suite toilet. The floors are connected by an upside-down floating staircase, and a yellow banana sofa adds a splash of colour to the otherwise ultramodern, neutral-colored space. A playroom specifically designed for Asahd, DJ Khaled’s adored two-year-old son, is perhaps one of the home’s most impressive features.
