UCLA Health and the Lakers in the Community

Our collaborative endeavors in lifelong health and fitness wellness programming, which aids youth organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs of America and LA’s Best Afterschool Enrichment Program, constitute the foundation of our partnership between UCLA Health and the Lakers. Each season, these two programs have an impact on more than one hundred thousand children. 

This collaboration is a fundamental component of the injury prevention and sports performance research conducted by UCLA Health. Additionally, UCLA Health is the naming rights partner of the El Segundo, California Lakers Training Center. In furtherance of our shared community mission, this presence enables UCLA Health to utilize the Training Center as a venue for educational conferences, youth clinics, basketball tournaments, and other community events. The UCLA Health Training Center serves as an emblematic representation of our collective dedication to enhancing global health, the significance attributed to physical well-being, and the radical potential of athletics to foster community cohesion. The designated provider of health care for the Los Angeles Lakers is UCLA Health.
