The new Eddie Murphy sequel “Coming 2 America” encompasses two worlds: the opulent regal kingdom of Zamunda (which resembles a modern rapper’s mansion) and the common life that Prince Akeem once pursued in Queens, New York.
Murphy began his existence in public housing in Brooklyn, a different borough of New York City. After achieving prominence on “Saturday Night Live,” however, the comedian embarked on a solo stand-up and acting career, accompanied by a lavish lifestyle.
Today, the 59-year-old and his family reside in a custom-built $20 M Beverly Hills estate, not to mention his purported $15 M Bahamas island.
