WATCH: Saxophonist Gets Hundreds Of Queenstown Tourists Grooving With ‘Magic’ Coldplay Cover

For the bright views of Lake Wakatipu and the general good vibes of the Alps, visitors and Kiwis alike descended upon Queenstown over the New Year’s holiday. They were unaware of the extraordinary talent of saxophonist Elliott Allemand.

The 21-year-old attracted hundreds of admirers off the street by playing the well-known Coldplay song “Viva La Vida,” and they all gathered to create the most wholesome singalong in the middle of the town.

The video posted to Eliott’s TikTok with the remark, “Magical moment!,” has unequaled enthusiasm. This kind of love is what the world needs more of.”

The film perfectly conveyed the lively atmosphere of a Kiwi summer in addition to a lovely musical moment.

The audience spontaneously began to sing along and have a good ol’ boogie as the saxophone played his heart out.

A beautiful pair, enthralled with each other, danced and encouraged the musician, creating an incredible atmosphere.

One user wrote among the many comments, “Queenstown again puts on a show.”

Another person said, “This is the best thing I’ve watched in forever.”

It’s the best summer NZ has ever had, a third person said. It’s great that people want to just sing and dance in the sun!

A fourth said, “This is why Coldplay needs more than three shows in NZ.”

Late last year, the British pop-rock group revealed the dates of their three New Zealand shows for their ‘Music Of The Spheres’ world tour in 2024.

The band had only planned to play one gig in Auckland the next year, but they decided to extend their tour by two dates after receiving a ton of requests.

As the first artist(s) to perform three nights in Eden Park’s 123-year history, Coldplay breaks the record with this.

How awesome would it be if Eliott got up on stage with the band to spread the wholesome sentiments around the stadium? That’s something I would like to see!
