Steph Curry hit a long three-pointer in the first quarter against the New York Knicks, which made him the new NBA leader in made three-pointers. The guard for the Golden State Warriors broke Ray Allen’s record for most 3-pointers made in NBA history.

With Allen’s record in sight, Curry only needed two 3-pointers on Tuesday to b𝕖at it. Curry did not wait around for long. With 7:33 left in the first quarter, the 33-year-old guard made history by making a jump shot over his old friend Alec Burks.

This famous jump shot put Curry ahead of Allen, who had 2,973 made 3-point shots, with 2,974 made jump shots. Even though Allen was in charge for 11 years, Curry b𝕖at the Hall of Fam𝕖 shot in 511 fewer games.

Curry finished the game against the Knicks with 22 points, making 5 of 14 shots from long range as Golden State b𝕖at New York 105–96 at Madison Square Garden.
