The Magari Superyacht Concept Is An Stunning, Exotic Haven of Peace

The luxury shipbuilder Oceanco and trade magazine Boat International are hosting the Young Designer of the Year 2022 Award, which is currently in progress. Design that emphasizes nature may be the next big thing in the business, according to one of the finalists, the Magari superyacht. Although custom superyachts are amazing, it’s even better when they can sail with as little negative environmental impact as possible.

The competition, which was started by Andres Otano Alonso, a graduate of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, has six finalists, including Magari. The competition winner will be revealed in June of this year at the Superyacht Design Festival in Milan, Italy.

This design competition isn’t like most others because it’s based on an actual build that Oceanco is doing. The shipyard states that although each participant was free to choose their own design, the requirement requested “a high-tech and environmentally-friendly design for a 65-meter [213-foot] motor yacht already under construction.” Alonso proposes a modern appearance modeled by the sweeping curves of super- and hypercars, along with an interior that contributes to the creation of a soaring haven of calm. And of course, sheer luxury.
