Feadship Unveils Freddie Gump’s Concept 109-Metre Yacht

Project FG, a new 109-meter superyacht concept, has been unveiled by Dutch yard Feadship.

“Megayacht design with superstar appeal,” that’s what the yard calls Project Freddie Gump, which was created for a client who combines the personalities of Freddie Mercury and Forrest Gump.

During the yard’s brokers course last year, the Feadship design team from Studio de Voogt collaborated on the project.

The yard said, “Project FG was born as a technically feasible design that allows for peaceful relaxation during the day and wild partying at night.”

One of the main attractions is a sizable open-air beach club that can hold gatherings of up to 300 people. The yacht also has a pop-up table tennis table with a transparent windbreaker at the bow, and a panoramic piano salon.

Located deep within the yacht, a secretive nightclub is available for special events. There are 22 guest rooms available on board, and the outside will have a “orange tinge.”

Project FG “needed to be quite regal and majestic,” according to designer Jan Schaffers, who also noted that it has “a bunch of features which speak to both the personalities.”
