Touré has represented the Ivory Coast in six Africa Cup of Nations competitions, in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015, with the team finishing as runners-up in 2006 and 2012 and as champions in 2015.

 

Personal affairs. Touré is the younger sibling of Kolo Touré, his teammate at Beveren, Manchester City, and with the Ivory Coast national team. Their younger sibling Ibrahim Touré was also a footballer; he died of cancer on 19 June 2014 at the age of 28 after a brief battle.
