Nikola Jović’s Heartwarming Celebration: Daughter Steals the Show as Denver Nuggets Clinch NBA Victory

Nikola Jović’s daughter attracted attention as the basketball player celebrated his team’s big victory on Monday.

Immediately after the Denver Nuggets beаt the Miami Heat to win the NBA championship, the star center celebrated his daughter Ognjena’s 21st month on the court.

As he received the Bill Russell Finals MVP trophy, Jović, 28, was cheered by his teammates and joined by his daughter, who adorably wore his championship cap.

In one photo, Jović holds his daughter and kisses her on the cheek as she struggles to keep an oversized hat on her head.

Jović shares his daughter Ognjena, which means “feisty” in Serbian, with his wife Natalija. The couple has been married since October 2020.

Although the couple only recently married, Natalija has been by Nikola’s side since they were teenagers. When Nikola joined the Nuggets in 2015, she moved to Denver with him — and since then, she’s been supporting the two-time NBA MVP from the sidelines.

Now Natalija is often seen attending Nikola’s matches with their daughter Ognjena. In March 2023, Natalija shared a photo on her Instagram of Ognjena holding Nikola’s game ball during his 100th triple-double – a feat only five other players have ever achieved in NBA history, as reports AP.

When Nikola broke another NBA record in April (he became the first NBA player to average 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in the first 50 games of his playoff career, according to Sports Illustrated), Natalija and Ognjena were on hand to cheer him on. on – with Ognjena seen on Instagram Stories wearing a jacket with Nikola’s name and number on the back.

For Nikola, the support of his wife and daughter was invaluable while he played in the NBA.

“I think all of us who have a wife and children should be happy with the people around us,” he told Serbian Arena TV in January. “When you have a normal life, it uplifts you and only helps you.”

But reconciling NBA life and fatherhood hasn’t always been easy for Nikola. In a rare interview with Arena TV at his home in Serbia, Nikola shared the feeling of having to leave his daughter while he was playing for the NBA.

“I played 100 away games, 100 days without being at home,” he said. “When I came home, Ognjena was different. Literally, in five days, she would change, you know.”
