Samuel Eto’o has signed for Sampdoria after deciding to leave Everton during the January transfer window.

The estate, called Villa Altachiara, was previously owned by Lord Carnarvon, who was known to suffer from the “Pharaoh’s curse”.

Lord Carnarvon was working with famous British archaeologist Howard Carter when they discovered the tomb of ancient Egyptian ruler Tutankhamun, opening the “cursed” burial site on February 16, 1923.

It is worth noting that of the 58 people present during the excavations of the long-lost tomb of Tutankhamun, eight died within ten years.

Working with renowned British archaeologist Howard Carter, Lord Carnarvon made the extraordinary discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, the richest burial site ever discovered.

Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s feet are visible in a special glass box inside his tomb in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, Egypt.

Mystery: Lord Carnavon (left), who died in 1923, sponsored the excavation of Tutankhamun’s tomb. Pictured right is former Gucci model and Countess Francesca Agusta, who disappeared from the villa in 2001, and whose body was found floating near Saint-Tropez three weeks later, amid various theories about what happened.

Additionally, Lord Carnarvon strangely died after contracting an infection from a mosquito bite on his face while shaving.

Additionally, Lord Carnarvon’s nephew died at Villa Altachiara following a fall down the stairs, while more recently, in 2001, former Gucci model and Countess Francesca Agusta disappeared from the clifftop estate.

However, these scary stories didn’t stop the former Chelsea and Everton player from buying Villa Altachiara.

In terms of real estate, the mansion has 40 rooms and 30,000 square meters of land.
