Cafu’s Opulent £6.5M Mansion: A Glittering Haven of Luxury, Complete with Elevator, Cinema, and Football Field!

TIMES TWO In an effort to pay off his enormous debts, World Cup champion Cafu had his £6.5 million Sao Paulo family estate auctioned off for a meager £4 million.

The 53-year-old Brazil icon will have only 45 days to leave the luxurious property in the exclusive Alphaville neighborhood once a judge approves the sale.

The only player in World Cup history to have played in three finals, Cafu played right back for AC Milan and Roma and attempted to halt the auction by stating the six-bedroom home was his primary property and could not be taken away from him as a family asset according to Brazilian law.

His legal team argued that other assets he owned served as collateral for the debts he accrued after quitting from football.

The property’s auction, which included a football pitch, movie room, and elevator, went on regardless of their objections.

Reports from the area indicate that a corporation has purchased the home and plans to pay for it in 15 equal installments, with an initial deposit.

Due to a disagreement about its valuation, the auction of the property was postponed from September.

The winning bid, submitted two days ago, was somewhat lower than the £4.35 million put up by an additional bidder in the pre-sale period preceding the original scheduled auction’s postponement three months ago.

Earlier that year, five properties were allegedly confiscated from Cafu due to debts he was said to have accrued from loans made from his business, Capi Penta International Player. Danilo, Cafu’s son, passed away in September 2019 at the age of 30 from a heart аttаck that occurred during a football match.

Established in 2004 by the former footballer and his wife Regina, the company oversees the careers of several sportsmen and players.
