‘Estrella’ is a luxury superyacht that resembles a seaplane and has three hulls

Yeojin Jung, a South Korean architect, has designed “Estrella,” a luxury superyacht, with cantilevered architecture as an inspiration. This opulent, seaplane-like ship splits its hull wings into three masses: a central segment and a floater component on each side, giving its passengers and occupants a dynamic experience. The Y-shaped building offers a close-knit experience with nature thanks to its creative yet practical layout.

Even though there are currently only about 5,000 luxury yachts in existence, Yeojin Jung’s “Estrella” managed to stand out. Providing a lively yet serene experience, the yacht’s occupants can look up at the sky and the ocean from various vantage points. The fin stabilizers, or ship control system, that are installed on both sides of the center hull to counteract any stability issues, allow the Y-concept yacht to defy gravity. The A’ Design Award for 2021 went to the yacht design known as “Estrella.”
