DJ Khaled’s Daycation Miami Home Featured a Banana Couch and a Playroom

Nothing is ever too much in DJ Khaled’s world of excess. The record producer recently spent the day lounging in the warm Miami sun in a five-bedroom house on man-made Hibiscus Island, which cost $34.5 million. An impressive array of amenities adorns the 11,000-square-foot ONE Sotheby’s megamansion, which is ideal for hosting parties and other gatherings. These include a home theater with plush seating and a view of the ocean and city beyond, a wooden dock big enough to accommodate a yacht (or a fleet of jet skis), and an outdoor lounge area with ample couches and picturesque views of Miami Beach.

An raised outdoor kitchen with a built-in BBQ and bar stands out among the palm palms on the property, highlighting the home’s indoor-outdoor concept. The interior of the property is just as impressive, with a second kitchen situated in the middle and decorated in a modern style using icy gray and vibrant orange. A glass coffee table is in the heart of an open living area, which opens out to a terrace and pool in the backyard through a wall of glass sliders. A private balcony can be accessed from every bedroom via floor-to-ceiling glass sliders; the master suite, in particular, features a sitting area, lounge chairs, and an en suite toilet. A yellow banana sofa brings a pop of color to the otherwise ultramodern, neutral-colored space, and an upside-down floating staircase connects the levels. One of the most remarkable aspects of the house is a playroom that was custom-made for Asahd, DJ Khaled’s beloved two-year-old son.
