Kendrick Lamar, the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper, has reportedly signed a deal to purchase a sprawling 16,000-square-foot mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles for over $40 million. This off-market transaction is set to be one of the priciest real estate deals in the area this year.
The seller of the property is Viet Dinh, the former chief legal and policy officer at Fox Corporation, who had purchased the home in 2019 for $19.5 million. The 2018-built house features 8 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, and sits on a roughly one-acre lot.
In addition to the main house, the property includes a guest house, a swimming pool with a spa, an outdoor kitchen, and a cabana. Inside, the home boasts a tiered movie theater, a gym, a wood-paneled wine room, and custom dressing rooms, all within a modern farmhouse-style design.
The primary suite is particularly luxurious, with vaulted ceilings, dual bathrooms, and a private balcony. Additionally, the home features a spa-like bathroom complete with a massage room, sauna, and steam room.
Lamar’s acquisition of this high-end Brentwood estate comes as he continues to make headlines for his ongoing feud with fellow rapper Drake. Their series of diss tracks has resulted in several number one hits for Lamar, including his latest song “Not Like Us,” which currently tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
