Nelly, whose given name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., is selling his vacant estate in Wildwood, Missouri, for only $600,000.
The 46-year-old rapper purchased the home in 2002 to resell it, but it appears that both the property and the project have been abandoned.
TMZ reported that Nelly, who grew up in and around St. Louis, intended to remodel the residence with a contractor acquaintance. Instead, the intended renovations never got underway. The property has been in a state of disrepair for many years.
The “Ride with Me” rapper hopes to cut his losses and move on from the investment at this juncture. Thursday marked the home’s debut on the real estate market.
Prior to Nelly’s acquisition, the property was listed for a staggering $2,499,000. However, it is unclear how much the performer paid for it.
The 1998-built structure is approximately 30 miles from St. Louis and only minutes from the Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Eureka.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence covers 10,799 square feet and is situated on a 12-acre lot.
The residence includes a private basketball court, a three-car garage, a view of the basin of the Meramec River, and ample recreational space.
