Madonna ended her Celebration tour with a free Copacabana Beach event in Rio de Janeiro. The concert was Saturday night (May 4). An portion of Copacabana Beach was turned into a massive nightclub for Madonna’s free event.
Performing for 1.6 million people, the 65-year-old singer said: “We are in the most beautiful spot. We can see the water and mountains from here. Wonderful place.” The concert started.
Brazilian airlines added 170 flights to get domestic and international fans to Copacabana Beach for this massive performance.
Many concertgoers watched from beachfront apartments or hotels. Many others were aboard boats anchored near the performance. This concert ended Madonna’s Celebration tour. Grand and amazing was how the audience rated the concert.
