A mix of “Three Coins in the Fountain,” “Eat Pray Love,” and “The Perfect Storm” would describe Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s scorching boat summer, which is still going on.
The 60-year-old millionaire and his 54-year-old fiancée are sailing the Mediterranean again this summer on Bezos’ $485 million yacht Koru, which has a sexy Sánchez-like figurehead on the prow.
After sailing to Greece, Italy, and Spain, they stopped Wednesday on Menorca in the Balearics to escape a low-pressure storm dubbed Dana with other luxury yachts.
The Abeona, their support yacht, carries their water toys and a fleet of A-list guests, including Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio, and his 25-year-old Italian supermodel girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti.
“They’re the flavor of the month in the Med,” remarked a seasoned entertainment executive returning from the South of France.
Previously, it was the Russians and Ari [Onassis] and Maria [Callas] aboard the Christina. Russians like Roman Abramovich are mostly gone. A new wave always comes, the executive remarked. I’ve heard Sanchez is kind and Bezos loves her, but she seems trashy. Will she ever resemble Babe Paley? Not this lifetime.”
The executive also noted that the Koru is more than 100 feet longer than Barry Diller’s yacht, which is little over 300 feet, but not as huge as David Geffen’s 453-foot vessel, noting millionaires typically have “aquatic penis envy.”
The world’s second-richest couple kissed in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome on Tuesday, totally oblivious to tourists.
Bezos, in a fitting golf shirt, blue slacks, and boating shoes, and Sánchez, in a red halter minidress and peep-toe heels, similarly threw money into the fountain with their right hands.
Oh, to know their desires.
After holding hands, they proceeded down cobblestone streets to Pierluigi for dinner, where cameras captured them eating white wine, salad, and bread at a red rose table.
The couple stopped at the Vatican on Thursday to visit 87-year-old Pope Francis.
“He reminded us not to take life too seriously, a simple yet powerful reminder to keep lightness in our hearts,” Sanchez posted on social media.
In June, Bezos and Sánchez began their summer island-hopping in Greece with a rare appearance by Preston, 19, who he shares with ex-wife Mackenzie Scott.
Along with them, Kim Kardashian jetskied around the Med. Kardashian took selfies on her jetski with an anonymous blonde.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star is close with Sánchez and Bezos, going on a double date in 2022 and seeing Beyoncé in 2023.
Nicky Hilton joined the trio for dinner in New York City in September 2023.
The “Kardashians” star celebrated her birthday in Season 5 and revealed that Sánchez is part of her inner group.
On Hydra, Greece, Bezos and Sánchez walked hand-in-hand on the beach. Next, Mykonos and then Pserimos, known for its beaches.
They flew to Sun Valley, Idaho, for a billionaire-filled finance conference in July.
The duo arrived in Sardinia last weekend with Perry, Bloom, DiCaprio, and Ceretti. Before returning to Koru, the celebrities had lunch at a luxury beach resort on one of Bezos’ smaller boats.
Bloom and Perry, who started a month-long holiday in France, vacationed with Bezos and Sánchez last year. The quartet walked around Dubrovnik, Croatia, with Usher in August 2023.
A source told Page Six that DiCaprio and Bezos have been “really close friends” for years and vacation frequently. They share “common ground in the fight against climate change and their work in environmental activism.”
