Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend went to Rome for a romantic vacation. Even though he is a billionaire, he still stood for hours to take bkini photos of his girlfriend on a luxury yacht worth 460M euros

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was the perfect Instagram boyfriend on Monday as he snapped pictures of his bikini-clad fiancee Lauren Sanchez on the deck of his new $500 million superyacht (463 million euros) in Portofino, Italy.

Earlier in the day, the newly engaged couple landed by helicopter on Koru’s $75 million (€69.6 million) support vessel, which has been equipped with a helipad. Dailymail.

Sanchez, 53, was dressed to impress in a black dress, which featured a thigh-high slit on each leg. She completed her Italian vacation look with a pair of black sandals and a red Hermès Kelly bag.

The starting cost of a Kelly bag is around $10,000 (€9,200), but highly coveted handbags can sell for up to $100,000 (€92,600) or more depending on the style.

The former news anchor wore her black hair around her shoulders and her long hair – along with the hem of her dress – blowing in the wind.

Meanwhile, Bezos, 59, was dressed in a dark T-shirt and jeans.

After landing in the support vehicle’s helicopter, they boarded a host boat that took them to the yacht.

The lovebirds were seen cuddling up on board before sitting down to an intimate family lunch on the ship’s deck, which was covered to shield them from the blazing afternoon sun.

All three of Sanchez’s children appeared to be with them.

The Black Ops Aviation founder has a 22-year-old son, Nikko Gonzales, with former NFL star Tony Gonzales.

She also has two younger children with her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell, a son, Evan Whitesell, 17, and a daughter, Eleanor Whitesell, 15.

When Sanchez and Bezos crown their love with marriage, she will become stepmother to his four children, who he has with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott.

The couple was later seen doing an impromptu photo shoot on the deck of the yacht.

Sanchez was wearing a black thong bikini as she enjoyed the weather.

At one point, she posed on the railing of the boat while Bezos played Instagram boyfriend and snapped pictures of her.

Bezos then wore swimming trunks, but he kept his T-shirt on.

It’s unclear when exactly the couple first got together, but their relationship was exposed by the National Enquirer in January 2019.

Shortly thereafter, the entrepreneur and investor separated from Scott, his wife of over 25 years. After their divorce, Scott became one of the richest women in the world, with a four percent stake in Amazon.

Sanchez was married to Whitesell when her affair with Bezos was exposed. Her then-husband was said to be the one who introduced her to Bezos in the first place.

Whitesell, a powerful man in his own right, is the executive chairman of Endeavor, the parent company of talent agency William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME).

Bezos and Scott finalized their divorce in April 2019 — the same month that Sanchez and Whitesell ended their marriage.

The couple made their first public appearance together in May 2019, before heading to St. Barts for the holidays.

As the third richest man in the world, Bezos often takes his girlfriend on luxury vacations.

The couple were seen kissing and dancing on board the Koru, while Sanchez wore a massive gemstone on her ring finger – perfect proof she said ‘I do’.

At the time, they were off the coast of Cannes, enjoying a Mediterranean odyssey and the inaugural voyage of Bezos’ superyacht.

At 127 meters wide and 230 meters long, Koru is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world, complete with a 76 meter support vessel, which boasts its own helipad.

The pair flew to Europe on a private jet and were spotted for the first time on the deck of the floating mansion on May 18.

Their voyage on the yacht, which is named Koru after the Maori word for ‘new beginnings’, comes more than five years after it was commissioned.

Known then as ‘Project 721’, the vessel was built in the historic port of Zwijndrecht, near Rotherham in the Netherlands, by yacht specialists Oceanco.

Previous models include the 106-metre ‘Black Pearl’, an all-black aluminum sailing yacht designed for Russian billionaire Oleg Burlakov, who died of COVID-19 in 2021 and whose family still owns the vessel.

“Koru” is the second largest sailing ship in the world, surpassed only by “Sailing Yacht A” designed by Philippe Starcke, which is owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko.

Bezos may be making dedications to Sanchez with the megayacht, which features a wooden sculpture of a Roman goddess carved into the ship’s bow that looks strikingly similar to his bride-to-be.

It is unclear when the gold-plated sculpture became part of the ship’s design, but it was commissioned in 2018, a year before their affair was exposed.

The yacht was finally delivered to Bezos in April after undergoing sea trials in February.

Last year, before Koru had even set sail, the sheer size of her mast sparked international controversy when Rotterdam announced that the middle section of the 100-year-old Koningshaven Bridge would be removed so the superyacht could make its way to its in the north.

According to reports, Bezos had said he would pay to dismantle and rebuild the bridge again, but his request was rejected.

Locals created a petition to strike the rotten egg boat on its maiden voyage, which gathered thousands of signatures.

In response to the backlash, the mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, said that no permit had been applied for and the masts were eventually put up downstream in the port of Rotterdam.

The three-masted yacht was finally delivered at the end of April and sailed from the Netherlands to Mallorca via Gibraltar.

Along with a private submarine, Koru sails a smaller 76-meter-long support vessel, which has been equipped with a helipad and is stocked with a collection of speedboats and supercars for Bezos and Sanchez.

The main ship, which is painted midnight blue and has gold accents, boasts three decks, a swimming pool and a large sun terrace.

The interior is said to be inspired by the Eos, a 92-metre yacht owned by former Fox CEO Barry Diller, which costs $25m (€23.1m) a year to maintain. /Telegraph/
