To fulfill their desires, PSquare acquired access to luxury jets at exorbitant costs without much deliberation.
In an exclusive interview on Peace FM’s ‘Entertainment Review,’ P-Square’s publicist, Bayo Adetu, clarified the situation. He explained that the group didn’t own a private jet outright but had a unique arrangement with a private jet company. This deal allowed them unlimited access to a designated private jet whenever needed.
Adetu elaborated, saying, “Regarding the private jet, it has become part of P-Square’s lifestyle because we have a partnership with a private jet company. Whenever P-Square has an official engagement, they are entitled to use the jet at any time.” This arrangement made them the only artists in Africa with such an exclusive deal, offering them unrestricted use of the jet.
Addressing the rumored Universal Records contract, Adetu confirmed it, noting, “Yes, it’s true. The contract was finalized on Thursday, May 31, 2012.” He clarified that the agreement wasn’t limited to South Africa but was a global deal. While the signing occurred in South Africa, the paperwork was sent to Universal Records’ international headquarters, underscoring the deal’s worldwide importance.
Adetu hinted at exciting prospects from the partnership, adding, “This contract is just one of many great things ahead for P-Square.
Both parties are pleased with the arrangement, and we’re satisfied with all the terms. That’s all I can say for now.”
The discussion also highlighted P-Square’s collaboration with American rapper Rick Ross on the hit track ‘Beautiful Onyinye.’ The song and its music video, directed by their elder brother and manager Jude Okoye, were shоt in Miami, Florida, and Cape Town, South Africa, marking a major milestone in their career.
